Braille Challenge

The Ohio Regional Braille Challenge

Each winter, Clovernook Center hosts the Ohio Regional Braille Challenge for blind and visually impaired (BVI) youth in grades 1-12. The annual event brings together BVI students from across the state to test their mastery of braille reading and writing and recognizes the ongoing support of parents and Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI).

Challenging Youth in Ohio and Beyond

Braille Challenge is the only event of its kind for students who are blind or visually impaired (BVI) in grades 1-12. The Ohio Regional Braille Challenge is organized in collaboration with the Braille Institute, which collaborates with regional partners across the United States, Canada, the UK and Australia. The event challenges youth in braille reading and comprehension, speed and accuracy, spelling, proofreading and tactile charts and graphics.
