Preparations are underway for the 2025 Ohio Regional Braille Challenge on February 26, 2025, and we’re “over the moon” with excitement. The event, which challenges youth who are blind or visually impaired (BVI) in braille reading and comprehension, speed and accuracy, spelling, proofreading and tactile charts and graphics is moving to a new location.

We’ve partnered with iSPACE (10020 Reading Rd.) in Cincinnati, Ohio, to serve as the new home for the annual event. For over 20 years, iSPACE has provided innovative and engaging STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) educational programs across Greater Cincinnati. Their focus on immersive, hands-on experiences mirrors Clovernook Center’s mission, making them a great fit to host the Ohio Regional Braille Challenge.

Congrats to Nadiya Albrecht a ninth grader at Ohio State School for the Blind in Columbus for submitting the winning theme for 2025: Braille Lights up the Mind — a perfect fit for our focus on STEM. Thanks to everyone who submitted theme suggestions.

If you or a student are interested in participating in the 2025 Ohio Regional Braille Challenge, applications will be available beginning Monday, Dec. 2. Visit clovernook.org for more information.
