Clovernook Center Announces New Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Trustees for Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Christopher D. Faust to President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO.) “Chris has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to Clovernook’s mission, its clients, and employees. He has consistently improved our activities. We look forward to Clovernook’s continual growth under his leadership” says Will Schwartz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. With over 29 years of experience in manufacturing sales and business development, he brings a strong skill set in applying commercial strategies to social enterprise. “My primary goal is to enable and empower our blind and visually impaired employees through sustainable jobs with competitive wages as well as full and robust program services.” Chris’ new role comes during a time of transition: “We are refocusing on the fundamental values that were the original foundation for Clovernook Center.” In addition to employment services Faust’s goal is to carry-on Clovernook’s rich tradition of arts and recreational activities, youth camps, and the promotion of daily living skills provided through the program services department. During his tenure at Clovernook Center, Faust has served in a variety of capacities. He joined Clovernook in 2010 as the Vice President of Business Development and Manufacturing and was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President in February 2011. During his time at Clovernook Center, employees who are blind or visually impaired have seen an increased number of labor hours – an achievement that received recognition by National Industries for the Blind and Visually Impaired. He has also directed the implementation of a new internship and in-house training program to assist individuals in obtaining their transcription or braille proof reading certification. In addition to the 5 highly skilled individuals who have already completed the program and rigorous certification process, there are currently 10 candidates working toward certification. Faust holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University and looks forward to attending the EXCEL Program for leadership development through ESCC this fall.
